Message of condolences from MMM
Like millions the world over we, at The Mauritius Militant Movement (MMM), are afflicted by the disappearance of former President Mario Soares, an icon of Socialism and social democracy.
We recall with great admiration, his constant struggle to consolidate democracy in Portugal and his contribution to the values of socialism in general.
We associate ourselves with the numerous messages of condolence expressed to pay a well-deserved tribute to the departed stalwart.
Please convey our deepest sympathy to the members of the Portuguese Socialist Party and to the family of the late President Soares.
