Honourable Leader of the Opposition, Mr Paul Raymond Bérenger, GCSK, MP, has given notice of the following Private Notice Question which he proposes to put to the Honourable Minister of Financial Services, Good Governance and Institutional Reforms, at the sitting to be held today, Tuesday 28 April 2015 at 11.30 a.m.
To ask the Minister of Financial Services, Good Governance and Institutional Reforms –
Whether, in regard to the allegations against the Mauritius-based Belvedère Management Ltd. of an international giant Ponzi scheme scam, he will –
(a) state the –
-
sums allegedly involved; and
-
alleged links between Belvedère Management Ltd. and the London-based Capital World Markets, whereby thirteen staff members thereof were arrested by the City of London Police on 03 March 2015, indicating if anyone of Belvedère Management Ltd. has been arrested as at to-date; and
(b) obtain from the Financial Services Commission, the actions taken in relation thereto as at to-date, if any?
