PNQ of 24 Feb 2015 on the Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC)
The Honourable Leader of the Opposition, Mr Paul Raymond Bérenger, GCSK, MP, has given notice of the following Private Notice Question which he proposes to put to the Rt. Honourable Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs, Minister for Rodrigues and National Development Unit at the sitting to be held today, Tuesday 24 February 2015 at 11.30 a.m.
To ask the Rt. Honourable Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Home Affairs, Minister for Rodrigues and National Development Unit –
Whether, in regard to the Independent Commission against Corruption, he will –
(a) state –
(i) when legislation to set-up a Financial Crime Commission and a revised and enhanced Independent Commission against Corruption model will be introduced; and
(ii) the date and time the two members thereof, other than the Director General, were appointed;
(b) obtain information as to the date and time on which the new Director General thereof made and subscribed to the prescribed oath in respect of the –
(i) disclosure of assets and liabilities before the Master and Registrar of the Supreme Court; and
(ii) oath of secrecy before the District Magistrate; and
(c) obtain from the Independent Commission against Corruption, information as to if the new Director General or Commission has stopped any on-going investigation or prosecution?
