Paul Bérenger insiste pour que les amendements soient rendus publics
La PNQ du leader de l’opposition de ce mardi 17 novembre, axée sur l’amendement de la Constitution et sur le Good Governance and Integrity Reporting Bill (GGIR BILL), était adressée au Premier ministre. Paul Bérenger a voulu savoir :“Whether, in regard to the Constitution (Amendment) Bill (No. XXIX of 2015) and the Good Governance and Integrity Reporting Bill (No. XXX of 2015), he will state if – (a) Government still proposes to amend the Constitution to introduce therein the concept of confiscation without a definition thereof and, if so, indicate whether amendments to the Constitution (Amendment) Bill (No. XXIX of 2015) will be proposed; (b) he will circulate the amendments to the Good Governance and Integrity Reporting Bill (No. XXX of 2015) as being proposed by Government; and (c) Government still intends to introduce a new Declaration of Assets Bill?”
Dans sa réponse le Premier ministre a déclaré que les amendements à la Constitution seront maintenus et que les propositions reçues seront prises en considération. Le leader de l’opposition a insisté à ce que les amendements soient rendus publics, afin de permettre à l’opposition et à la population de consulter ces amendements. Mais le Premier ministre a rejeté cette proposition et aussi celle concernant l’amendement à être apporté au Constitution (Amendment) Bill par rapport à la confiscation des biens mal acquis.Quant à la loi sur la Declaration of Assets, le Premier ministre a déclaré qu’un nouveau texte de loi est en préparation.
